Kollnburg has done it: At the district decision of the 23rd national competition "Our village has a future - Our Village shall be beautified” 2008, the castle town asserted itself against its competitors of county Böbrach and Ruhmannsfelden in the B category (greater than 600 inhabitants) prevailed. This committee, together with its chairmen Waltraud Zankl and Maria Eineder, did everything possible to let Kollnburg shine in the shortest time possible. Burdensome a brochure on the castle village was created by the secretary Evelyne Wittenzellner, 2nd Chairman Maria Eineder and Elvira Wieser from the company Creative Factory e.K. DThe district advisor for garden culture and landscaping, Klaus Eder, was enthusiastic: "It has the level of the federal decision." From then on, the villagers worked diligently on an attractive and informative tour through Kollnburg for the commission. In mid-September, it was done: After the Commission had reviewed Böbrach village, they came to Kollnburg. By taking a tour through the castle town jury many could get a lot of impressions from the village, its community and its liveliness. The Commission set great importance on the growth of the village and the location of companies. In addition to the green design and development it was also assessed, how the village is integrated into the landscape. The structure of Kollnburg’s architectural structure was also very interesting for the jury, which is a mixture of many one-and two-family houses, workshops and restaurants. Another criterion was the so far development of the village, and its plans for the future. The competition victory was then spontaneously celebrated with the stakeholders in the meeting room of Town Hall. The concluding celebration of all six participating villages for the competition took place on Friday 21 November in the Landgasthof Tremml in Ayrhof.
