The castle stable path in Kollnburg is part of the “Baier Weg”, one of the oldest bridle paths in the Bavarian forest. The old path through the prehistoric site of the castle with its attractive rock areas connects the upper and lower village.
Particularly impressive is the unique view over the forest land to the Arber from the highest point of the castle stable path – a rock area with an impressive wooden cross – which is named “Love Rocks” in the vernacular. Burgstallweg you walk by in the direction of the church of the parish under the romantic garden Following the parish garden path further in direction of the church, one will encounter the romantic parish garden path leading from below the parish garden over the castle hill to the courtyard. One view from the castle tower to the highest Bavarian Forest peaks is absolutely mandatory!
